Stereolithography
Stereolithography popularly knows as SLA, is probably the earliest of 3D Printing to be invented which was an extended version of the PCB lithography process.
About

Photopolymer resins are baked in UV or LCD light of a particular wavelength and the light inhibits the curing process.
For best ready-to-use prints with high tolerance parts, it is the first process to be preferred, but unlike FDM the physical properties are not pin-pointed instead they are termed as ABS-like and more of plastic-like resins.
The most common resins are

-
Tough resin
-
High-temperature resin
-
Elastic resin
-
Clear resin
-
Castable resin
SLA is most preferred in Dental, medical devices, jewellery and other industries.
